I was at my prime in Hollywood, but my career went from “hot to not” in 2009 when I experienced a huge rash all over my face . What I know now as Eczema, a health condition that changed my life completely. For 3 years, I went to multiple doctors who put me on numerous prescriptions, products and diets to try to clear my skin. All without success, until I came across a healthy solution. Monique is a multicultural mom and wife, international speaker, model, actress, stage and film producer and media magnet.
Native Suriname born, raised in Holland and went to pursue her career as a professional dancer in New York City. She also appeared as a regular on the hit German television series, “Florida Lady”.
Monique was the first woman of color to land a Global campaign for Nexxus Humectress hair products. She has appeared in both television and films over the years including, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Mad About You, All of Us, Coming To America, The Five Heart Beats, Three of Hearts, and stage productions of Legends, The Apartment, and For Colored Girls. She is a NAACP Theatre Award recipient. She was chosen Upcoming Starlet in Ebony magazine and Dancer on the Rise in Dance Magazine.
Monique was featured on Good Morning Australia and Dutch TV show RADAR for her work with legends like Prince, Will Smith and Eddie Murphy. In 2016 Monique Mannen was identified as one of the most successful people in her native country Suriname and was featured in a book titled SURINAME BEKEN(D)T. She currently has a recurring role on the hit web series GIANT. She also created, produced and hosts her new show "Tell Me Your Story “(Conversations with inspiring people like the Film Maker Bill Duke, Dancers, and inspiring people of all walks of life, because everybody has a story, which can be seen on YouTube.

She was an Associate Producer with Michael Ajakwe Jr. on the play “Three plays by Sara Finney -Johnson” which had a successful run at Zephyr Theater starring Wendy Raquel Robinson and Oscar-winning Comedienne/Actress Monique. She Co-Produced several public service announcements for Americans United For America, Inc”. She co-produced and starred in her first 27-minute short film “All 4 Charity”, which was in the Pan African Film Festival. She recently finished a recurring role on the second season of the Web series “Giants" on Issa Rae YouTube channel.
